Figma Committee

As a member of the Figma committee, our focus was on creating a collaborative and supportive environment for design learning. We initiated skill assessments to understand our collective strengths and areas for growth. However, the real heart of our efforts was to create a space that was both engaging and inclusive where we shared insights, learned from each other's experiences, and built a sense of camaraderie.

To accommodate the diverse schedules of our team, we facilitated learning through asynchronous articles and training materials. These resources were designed to offer accessible learning opportunities, allowing each team member to progress at their own pace.

Additionally, we organized collaborative workshops tailored to address the areas highlighted in the starting surveys where we received the most votes. These workshops were dynamic and inclusive, featuring challenges adapted to various skill levels. Whether team members aimed to reinforce their existing skills or take on more advanced challenges, the workshops provided a platform for everyone to enhance their capabilities in a supportive and collaborative setting.

Our committee was committed to continuous improvement, making feedback a cornerstone of our process. After each workshop, we collected feedback to understand what went well and identify areas for improvement. Additionally, we conducted skill assessments following every workshop to track the team's progress and measure the impact of our activities.

This commitment to ongoing evaluation and reflection became a journey of mutual growth and shared success within our design community. Our approach, blending professionalism with a people-centric ethos, fostered a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration. It was more than just refining skills; it was about building a supportive environment where everyone could thrive and contribute to our collective success.
